Here’s a look at our FAQ:

Who We Are – We are a group of passionate teens who recognize that commercial tobacco is a serious threat to our health, both physically and mentally, and we want to do something about it. We’re tired of being targeted and manipulated by tobacco industry marketing, and we are committed to celebrate tobacco free lifestyles and encourage others to join us in committing to be tobacco free.

What We Do – We Engage, Educate and Empower our communities to change the social norms associated with tobacco. This means we Engage with people in our communities to change the way people think about tobacco and all tobacco products. We Educate about the harms of tobacco products to make it less desirable, acceptable, and accessible. We do this by Empowering others to advocate for change in local policies that affect how tobacco is marketed, how it is sold, and where it can be used. VOICE members can expect to participate in a wide range of activities including community education, outreach, public speaking, collecting data, and media advocacy.

How To Get Involved If you know your school has a VOICE squad/club, listen to the announcements and attend their next meeting. If you are unsure if your school has VOICE club, you can complete our
online registration form. A tobacco prevention staff person from your county will then contact you.

VOICE Youth Ambassadors – VOICE Youth Ambassadors are high school students who play an active role within their school communities, counties, and statewide. They engage in local and statewide activism to educate their peers on commercial tobacco-related issues and inspire and motivate others to celebrate living a tobacco-free lifestyle.
